Training Programs

NeighborUp partners with local training programs, such as Wake Tech, to help people start new careers or grow in their current jobs. Since Fall 2021, the program has helped dozens of participants gain important skills to succeed in today’s job market.

The program offers short courses in fields like healthcare, technology, administration, and biotechnology. These courses vary in length from a few weeks to a few months and give students the certifications they need to get jobs in growing industries.

Students don’t have to worry about costs—tuition, materials, and exam fees are covered through college scholarships. NeighborUp also provides a monthly stipend to help with expenses, professional development, career coaching, and a case manager who offers wrap-around services to care for all your needs.

Each training group consists of 4-12 students who study together for the same certification, have meals, and professional development at NeighborUp, and receive wrap-around coaching and case management at NeighborUp.

With an 87% completion rate, most graduates finish the program ready for work with a strong resume, effective interview and networking skills, and a support team to help them navigate their new career.
