We are expanding our Annual Thanksgiving Breakfast to welcome more than 500 community leaders, local businesses, government partners, faith communities, and dedicated supporters—all united in our mission to lift up our neighbors across Western and Southern Wake County. This expanded event offers an even greater opportunity to come together around compassion and community impact. Every dollar raised goes directly toward providing essential resources and opportunities for our neighbors in need.

Recently, a father and his young twins—who had been experiencing homelessness—came to us seeking stability. We were able to enroll the family in our Emergency Shelter Program (ESP), providing immediate relief through temporary hotel assistance while the father worked diligently to secure housing. Despite facing repeated denials due to credit challenges, he continued applying to multiple properties. His persistence paid off when he was finally approved for his own home at a local apartment complex. Our team stepped in to help make this transition possible by covering the security deposit and assisting with an old utility balance so he could reconnect services in his new home. Last week, he and his twins officially moved in—marking a major step toward lasting stability. He expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support that helped him secure permanent housing for his children after such a long period of uncertainty.
